I have been waiting for your site to ...Thanks Omar! I have been waiting for your site to start showing your reports. Soon I hope? I like to see the race through everyone's perspective.

The worlds seems like it was much more than I gave it credit for. So many great stories even though the weather was not ideal. I am starting to regret not going. I should start raising some funds for Scotland very soon.

Next year will be mainly tri's but I will do Victoria's, maybe GL1 (depends on Muskoka Chase, if they have it or not?), ONT Championships (where ever it may be??) and a few on the HSBC series just for fun and training.

I am sure we will hit the line with all the guys a few times next year. Looks like Bruce, Dave and Tommy will be tough to hang with!

Rest up the foot and let me know when you put a schedule together.

Keep in touch!
LarryLARRY BRADLEYhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16313899199306917132noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5827737464858820075.post-68882376218417439672009-09-30T08:05:12.199-07:002009-09-30T08:05:12.199-07:00thanks Larry. always enjoy your detailed accounts ...thanks Larry. always enjoy your detailed accounts of your races!

my foot is giving me some problems and honestly, i've been going hard since January after training and in running Boston in April (albeit, slow :P), so I'm taking so much needed time off.
I would've liked to end the season with a solid half marathon but that will have to wait.

Worlds was a great experience! You, Tommy and some others who weren't there, would have raced well too, I'm sure. It poured like a mofo for the race (my computer wouldn't even work) and there were no K (or mile) markets anywhere.

So it was one of those races where, you deal with the elements (since everyone else has to too!) and put your head down and go hard. I thought I was a decent runner, but man, at that level, me running 36 flat for 10k when the leaders are going 31 and change?? Damn, that's humbling. But going in and out of the stadium, there were some steep climbs, which hurt on the run. I saw 5 or 6 guys crash on the bike in the corners because the roads were so slick. Bad, bad scene. It became a race where you really had to be aggresive on the straightaways, and enter every corner with caution.

Good on David, Bruce, and the rest of Team Canada who had some great showings. Trust me, in those conditions, some of those guys put up impressive times!

As for next season, I'm gonna try and hit the pool this winter, but with work keeping me swamped, I'm not sure if I will be able to prep as much as I'd like to.

You still going to race some Du's next year? you got to be going to World Du's next year in Scotland right? It should be a great race/trip.

Either way, good luck this fall and winter! I'll check in later...

Omaromar353https://www.blogger.com/profile/04514395912651603106noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5827737464858820075.post-42489843724423796592009-09-28T21:43:19.420-07:002009-09-28T21:43:19.420-07:00Omar,

Congrats on a very great result among such amazing competition. Looks like most of the duathletes are jumping into the water so I guess it is now or never for me. It will be nice to line up with some familiar faces next year so I will keep me eyes open for you on the beach.
What is next on your planner?
